Dr. Bawa comes late at night after 10 pm and examines Shri Nathji. He says Shri Nathji’s heart and lungs were all right and that the breathlessness was due to the Heat Exhaustion from walking in the stifling hot room. Dr. Bawa says to Priya Nath:“It was criminal to allow Shri Maharajji to walk in the stifling heat of the big room! An air conditioner is a must in that room, if He is to walk there!”Priya Nath feels very, very, guilty for his negligence in not getting an air conditoner installed in the big room, even when Shri Nathji had insisted upon it days ago. Priya Nath is fully convinced that all the troubles that come to Shri Nathji are due to mistakes and omissions on his (Priya Nath’s) part. He feels Dr. Bawa had rightly used the word “criminal” in describing the omission made. Priya Nath felt that he is the greatest criminal in the whole world and hears the Urdu verse ring in his mind:“Hamsaa na hogaa koyi daihar men badkumaar“There can be no one as bad a player as me in the world,However, by and large, Dr. Bawa’s visit had been heartening, as the heart was normal despite the heat exhaustion. Dr. Bawa did not say that it was a heart problem and further stated that the heart was all right. It was simple heat exhaustion.““Piyaji, one must not worry needlessly. I am in optimum health. I am walking around, and am all right in every other respect. Heat exhaustion can affect almost anyone. My health is better than that of lakhs of people even at this age!”Dr. Bawa’s visit leaves Shri Nathji and Priya Nath in high spirits.
