The famous verse of the great poet, Sir Iqbal, found fulfilment in the personality of Shri Nathji:
Kabhi ai haqueequate muntazar
Nazar aa libaase men
Ke hazaaron sajde tarrap rahe hain
Meri jabeene niyaaz men
O Thou much-awaited Reality!
Appear before me in human form,
For hundreds of prostrations await their fulfillment
Upon my forehead
For many, who had met Shri Nathji, this verse had come true. It was an inner recognition that came from within the soul. That, which belonged to the soul, could only be recognised by the soul. It was difficult for people to understand the great faith that the devotees of Shri Nathji possessed in him. The recognition was spontaneous. The moth loves the flame, and the nightingale loves the rose. Similarly those souls, which were prepared, recognized the Supreme Lover in Shri Nathji instantaneously. It was the ultimate spiritual experience.
There was Shri Nathji’s verse which defined the Advent of the Avatar upon earth:
“Jab kabhi chalti hai baade intazaare raihbari
Seenaye dariyaaye Haq kartaa hai ik soorat ayaan
Whenever the winds of expectancy sweep the earth for the coming of a Guide,
That Great Ocean of Truth, from its own bosom, produces such a Personality
The words of Lord Krishna in the Geeta found fulfilment in Shri Nathji.
Yadaa yadaa hi dharmasya glaanir bhavate bhaarat
Abhyuthhaanam dharmasya tadaadmaanam srijaamyham
Paritraanaaye saadhunaam vinaashaaya che dushkretaam
Dharma sansthaapnaarthaaya sambhavaami yuge yuge
Whenever evil is exalted and righteousness declines
Then I myself come forth,
To protect the righteous and to vanquish the evil-doers,
I come into this world from age to age
However Shri Nathji did not come into the world to vanquish the evil-doers as had been done by the avatars of the past. He came into this world with a Message of Love and Peace and saved the world by changing the hearts of men.
