Pran Nath had a long course of engineering studies ahead of him. Only Mateshwari could give him the care he needed. And so, Shri Nathji wrote to Mateshwari that she and Priya Nath should reach London as soon as possible.
Priya Nath, who had a first class academic record, had been awarded a Government of India scholarship for higher studies at Zurich University, Switzerland. He had, at the same time, received admission into Harvard University in America. After much deliberation and consultation with friends and educationists, it was decided that Harvard University, which was reputed to be the finest university in the world, would be best for Priya Nath. He intended to study Nuclear Physics at the post-graduate level. He already had a first class Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Allahabad.
Shri Nathji had frequently said:
It is the same power which resides in the vastness of the Universe that resides within the tiniest of its atoms!
Thus, by studying atomic physics, Priya Nath was only studying another face of God.
Shri Nathji’s son is going to become an atomic physicist! many bewildered people would say, he is going to help build an atom bomb!
Both, Shri Nathji and Priya Nath, would be greatly amused by such comments. Shri Nathji’s spirituality encompassed science. He had frequently described scientists as genuine seekers after truth, people who were laying bare the hidden glory of God, people who understood the intelligence of God.
