As Priya Nath began to cook for Shri Nathji, he began to improve but ever so slowly. Priya Nath did not know how to cook. All he could make was tea and toast, daal-lentils and potatoes. But Shri Nathji found his cooking delightful.
There was even a time when Shri Nathji kneaded the floor in the bedroom so that Priya Nath could make chappaatis out of it. Shri Nathji told Priya Nath how he had learnt to knead flour during the days he had spent with Shri Babaji Bhagwan in the forests in the early 1920’s.
Shri Nathji had also kneaded flour one day in Rawalpindi in 1937, when chappaatis made from it had been distributed to devotees everywhere.
At that time a famine was going on in the country and the famine was lifted when Shri Nathji’s chappaatis reached the people.
