Istafa Khan was called Khan Sahib by his friends and relatives. Shri Nathji gave him the title of Nawab Sahib, and very soon the people of the city began to call him Nawab Istafa Khan.
When people would ask him who had given him the title of Nawab he would say it was not a title given by an ordinary government but rather by a divine government – his divine master, Shri Nathji. Indeed if ordinary worldly figures were vested with the powers of their governments surely divine personalities came vested with divine power and divine authority.
