Shri Nathji would always speak about the legendary Kashmiree shawls, which were of such fine pashmeena wool that they could purportedly be threaded through a finger-ring. He would also speak of the intense cold in the region and the manner in which people would place clay pots with burning coals inside their clothes to keep themselves warm. He was deeply moved by the Kashmirees, the people of Kashmir, and had a great love for them.
Because of his chooridars and his orange turban, Shri Nathji was frequently mistaken for a Kashmiri Pandit, or the Maharaja of the State.
Shri Nathji had an old association with Kashmir since the days of Shri Babaji Maharaj and his meeting with Maharaja Pratap Singh of Jammu and Kashmir.
Little did the people of the region know that God Himself had come as a tourist into their famed valley that drew people from all over the world.
