While Shri Nathji was at Doon School, he received a letter from Mateshwari in which she wrote that the State Bank at Mussoorie had telephoned her to tell her that Shri Nathji’s account was overdrawn, and that the debt had exceeded seven hundred rupees. The bank wanted Shri Nathji to deposit some money immediately. Mateshwari had sent them one hundred rupees and she wrote to Shri Nathji to send them another five hundred. She also added cryptically that the milkman was also pressing for money. These were the vicissitudes of life that Shri Nathji had to live with as a householder and family man at Mussoorie.
Shri Nathji returned to Mussoorie soon after Pran Nath’s examinations were over at the Doon School.
Those were the only moments in his entire lifetime that Shri Vishwa Nath Kapoor ever got to serve Shri Nathji with his own hands in his home. Shri Nathji never returned to Doon School after that one visit.
