Shyam Lal wrote to Shri Nathji from Mussoorie in April 1949:
“The weather is very pleasant here. Tourists are already coming up to the town. Everyone here asks about your Lordship. It must be very hot in Allahabad. We are very worried about your health in the heat. Please hasten and come to your house here which is eagerly awaiting your Lordship’s Grace. The chowkidar, Uday Ram, as well as Jacky, the dog, are all right. Veeran Devi has come up here with me and sends her pranaams. She is also eagerly awaiting your Lordship’s arrival to your home at Mussoorie.”
