Mateshwari had been having bouts of weakness but had never cared to consult a doctor about them. One day, when Shri Nathji was out of the house, and only Pran Nath and Priya Nath were at home, she suddenly fainted. It was an emergency. Pran Nath called the closest doctor, who was a homeopath, Dr. Goyal, by name, and who could not understand what had happened. Just then Shri Nathji arrived and saw the unconscious form of Mateshwari and immediately called a certain Dr. Mathur who was an allopathic doctor. He came to the conclusion that Mateshwari was in a diabetic coma. He gave an injection of insulin and Mateshwari regained consciousness. It was only then that it was discovered that Mateshwari had incipient diabetes all these years, which had received no attention.
