During the months of 1948, when Shri Nathji was at Mussoorie, Sukhdev had met a famed Muslim Peer, a holy man who was also a learned Professor of Unani Medicine, and whose sons studied abroad. He was so wealthy that the achkan that he wore carried little gems sewn into it. The Peer had come to Sukhdev’s flat and was staying in the very room in which Shri Nathji had lived when he was at Bombay in 1948. “Peer Sahib, jab tak bande aur Khudaa ke beech men koyi bhee teesri cheez baaki raih jaati hai to visaal naheen hotaa! “For as long as any third element exists between Man and God, a Union is not possible!”The Muslim Peer cast but one glance at Shri Nathji and something happened to him. His eyes closed and his body began to tremble. His voice went up in a chant: “Allah! Allah! Allah! Allah!” The next instant Shri Nathji had gone from the room. He knew that if he had stayed a moment longer, the Peer would not have been able to bear the effulgence of his Divine Light.“Sukhdev! Ye main naheen Allah-Allah bol rahaa, meri nas, nas Allah-Allah bol rahi hai!“It is not I who am saying Allah-Allah. Each and every fibre of my being is saying so!”“Maine aisee ruhaani taakat aaj tak naheen dekhi! He further added: “His divine radiance is like the moon which brings a coolness to the heart!”“Maharaj! There are tears in the eyes of the Divine Mother. Please stop them or the world will come to an end! “Mateshwari ki aankhon men aansoo hain. Pralaiya ho jaayegi!”He would say: “Many a time I would be beset upon by doubts on the spiritual path– but ever since I took a portion of the food from Mateshwari’s thhaali as prasaad, all my doubts have disappeared!”
