As Shri Nathji settled down in his new home at Mussoorie, there was an attack on his life on the 9th of August 1948, when ten persons entered within St. Andrews and sought to intimidate Shri Nathji. One of them had a revolver in his hand, which he placed upon Shri Nathji’s chest. Shri Nathji said to him:“Agar tumhen Bharat men acchee cheezen buri lagti hain to chalaao goli! Magar yaad rakhnaa, ye “If you do not like good things to exist in India, then go ahead and shoot! However, let me tell you, that the revolver is in your hand, but your hand is in the hand of God. If it is His Will that I must do more work in the world, then you will not be able to fire the revolver. But if it is His Will that my part is over – then go ahead and shoot!”The man’s hand began to tremble. Just then Mateshwari appeared on the scene and the assailants ran, seized by in indefinable fear.
