At the start of 1983, there are Shri Nathji’s words of re-assurance to Priya Nath:“1982 And Shri Nathji was right. Shri Nathji’s health blossomed to a point where it reached a peak. A pink radiant flush with the colour of good strong health came to his face, his voice became louder than ever before, and his walks longer and faster. These were the moments of greatest joy for Priya Nath, although he was ever afraid of the evil eye, the ‘Kabhi tumne suni hai aaj tak kyaa hai navaaye dilHas anyone heard the voice of my heart?There is again the ecstatic dancing of Shri Nathji at another one of his ghazals:Dil meraa shaidaa hai phir se in bahaaron ko liyeMy heart is enraptured by the coming of the SpringShri Nathji makes the powerful pronouncement:“KAUN HAI JO AAPKO BHAV SAAGAR SE MUKTI DENE KAA VAAYEDAA KAR SAKTAA HAI! KOYI KAREGAA AISAA VAAYEDAA?“Who is there who can promise to give you freedom from the Ocean of Life and Death? Can there be anyone who can make such a promise?”
