Shri Nathji recorded a beautiful message on tape for the World Prayer Day, and later listened to it for a long time with the ear-phones which Priya Nath had brought for him. Shri Nathji always enjoyed listening through the ear-phones and lost himself in a spiritual reverie. “Aap raihne do, thhak jaaoge! Mujhe de do main kar letaa hoon! And the next moment he would be seen with the fan in his left hand, fanning himself as well as Priya Nath! – until Priya Nath would protest that he would strain himself. Such indeed was the loving self-sacrificing personality of Shri Nathji. His love was evident in each and every action that he performed.“Ungleeyaan to aur bhee patli ho gayi hainHe said this to allay Priya Nath’s fears about water retention in the body. Each and every action and each and every word that he uttered from morning till night was meant to bring comfort to Priya Nath. He would even conceal his symptoms if he thought they would alarm Priya Nath.“Priyaji, aap hee thhe jinhonen burrhaape men mujhe samhaal liyaa, varnaa aajkal kaun poochtaa hai apne boorrhe pitaa ko! Bete to baap ko jootaa dikhaate hain: ‘Tum ne apni umar bhog lee ab hamen apni “Priyaji, it was only you who cared so much for me in my old age. These are the days when no one cares for his old parents. Sons show the boot to their fathers, and say: ‘You have enjoyed your life, now let us enjoy ours!’”There were times when Shri Nathji would be very disconcerted with those devotees who would be deeply hurt if Shri Nathji or Priya Nath said even a word against them. Shri Nathji would say:“Betaa baap ko joote bhee lagaaye to uske paanv choomte hain, magar“Even if a son hits his father with a shoe, the father will go and kiss his feet, but if there is even a single harsh word from God, the devotee will keep it in his heart for years!”Shri Nathji had also said:“Agar kissee ko iss darbaar ki koyi bhee baat buri lagti hai, to isskaa matlab abhi uss men usskaa ahankaar baaki hai!“If anyone finds anything said in this darbaar to be distasteful, then it means that he still has his ego within him!”How right Shri Nathji was. Priya Nath had seen devotees, on whom Shri Nathji had showered endless love, whose lives he had saved numerous times, whom he had given unprecedented peace and prosperity, simply disappearing from the darbaar if even a single harsh word was said to them.
