Over the years, many had come and stayed with Shri Nathji for various periods of time and then departed to their homes. Some had even left the world. Smt. Veeran Devi, Mahamateshwari’s elder sister had left the world and so had Shri Nathji’s loyal devotee Sahadeva Tayal.“Priyaji, ek vakt aataa hai ke sab ek dream ho jaataa hai!“Priyaji a time comes when everything becomes a dream.”There was also the verse that Shri Nathji had written in 1983 which showed the transient nature of this world:
“Yoon dekhte hee dekhte shaamo saihar gayi,“The evening and the morn came as a fleeting glimpse that went,And there were Shri Nathji’s words about the passing away of time, which took everthing with itself, whether good or bad:“Jab vo vakt naheen rahaa, to ye vakt bhee naheen rahegaa!“When the earlier time did not stay, this time too shall not remain!”And there was Shri Nathji’s parable which showed the reality of human existence upon the planet earth:“Kaun kaihtaa hai ye Musaafirkhaanaa naheen hai!“Who says this is not a Tavern where so many have come and gone?”“Yahaan jitne bhee aaye vo aakar chale gaye. “Whoever came into the world, came only to go away. History is the name of those thousands and millions who came into this world and went away. Who, then, can stay here forever.”“Jab“When Alexander the Great left this world, he did so with empty hands. Who then can take anything from here?”Shri Nathji had said in Akola in 1978:“Jissne inn charanon ko pakarr liyaa hai vo maihfoos ho jaayegaa. Usse bahisht men ghar mil jaayeg“He who has caught hold of these feet shall be saved. He shall be granted a home in heaven.”“Shri Babaji Bhagwan “Shri Babaji Bhagwan had said that only the name of NATH would give salvation now!”Shri Nathji’s sermons always contained a note of urgency that said to mankind:“Jaldi karen! Zindagi kaa time niklaa jaa rahaa hai. Shri Nathji also quoted the Buddha who had said:“Decay is inherent in all compounded things, hence work out your salvation energetically!”The aim of human life was to realise God while living in the world, and doing one’s tasks, taking them to be duties given by him.“Athhaa to Brahm JigyaasaaO Man Search for God”How fortunate were those to whom Shri Nathji had disclosed his Real Self and who had absolute and complete faith in him. And yet Priya Nath was disconcerted when he saw people accept Shri Nathji as God and still run after the things of the world. He often wondered how many of the devotees would attain salvation. Sometimes he thought that perhaps Bhutt and Gangabai Bhutt and Shakuntala would be the only ones.Gaye donon jahaan se Khudaa ki kasamWe lost out on both the worlds,
