Mahamateshwari’s Birthday came on the 15th of August 1987. It was one of the most joyous events of the year. Never before had Shri Nathji looked so Divinely Beautiful. He was in a deep red turban, a white achkan and his usual dark glasses. Indeed, Shri Nathji was looking stunningly beautiful. His white silk achkan glittered in the darkness of the ‘shaamiaana’ – tent – outside the house, but the Divine Radiance on the Face outshone every light in the Universe. “Teri poojan ko Bhagwan“O Lord, let my heart become a Temple for Thy worship!”So dazzlingly was Shri Nathji’s Divine Light that people found themselves lost in Divine ecstasy and began to dance.SUDDENLY SHRI NATHJI GOT UP FROM HIS CHAIR WITH A SERIOUS EXPRESSION ON HIS FACE – HIS EYES CLOSED AND HIS HANDS EXTENDED – AND BEGAN A SLOW DANCE IN THE MANNER ONLY HE COULD ‘DANCE’ – IT WAS AS IF THE UNIVERSE WAS DANCING WITH JOY.It was an exhilarating sight, never again to be seen by the world.Mateshwari ki Jai HoAs also a ghazal, which all present sang together with Priya Nath’s recording:Meri taareeekiye dil men ujaalaa kar diyaa toone“The darkness of my heart has been filled with light by TheeShri Nathji gave a very short speech before the start of the Arti, in which his Face was aglow with Divine Light and his voice was soft but powerful.“This day is being celebrated in many parts of India. It is also the day on which India gained independence.Baikuntth khaali ho gayaa hai!”“When you begin drinking water, you only stop when your thirst gets satiated! In a like manner today you have found fulfilment in this ultimate happiness.“MERI AAKHRI SAANS BHEE AAP LOGON KI SEWAA MEN NIKALE!“May my last breath be spent in the service of you all!”“MAIN ISS DUNIYAAN KO NAHEEN CHHORROONGAA JAB TAK MAIN APNAA KAAM NAA KHATAM KAR LOON!“I shall not leave the world until I have finished my work!“Aaj itnaa aanand bantaa, vishwa kaa bhaan bhee naheen rahaa!“The Bliss that was showered today, made one forget the entire world!”“Aap mere bane aur main aapkaa! “You became mine and I became yours!”“KOYI KASHT PARRE TO YAAD KAR LIYAA KAREN!“If you are in any trouble then merely think of me!”“Main apne kasht door naheen karnaa chaahataa, vo maine aap ke liye chhorre hain!“I do not wish to remove my own troubles, I have kept these aside for you to remove!”“JO MERI NAAV MEN SHRADDHAA YUKT HOKAR BAITTH GAYAA HAI, TOOFAAN KI KOYI TAAKAT NAHEEN KE USSE DUBO SAKE!“The storm has no power to drown him who has come aboard my boat with Faith!”“Shri D.N. Sinha, who is standing here, has an unshakeable faith in me. When he was a student studying for his M.A. he used to go along with me to my lectures at Mussoorie! He has a great regard for Priya Nathji and loves him even more than his own self! He does not consider anyone to be equal to him in devotion.”“Koyi devtaa, koyi Ishwar meri marzi ke khilaaf naheen jaa rahaa, main apni marzi se jaa rahi hoon, Shri Nathji ko apne bhakton ke supurd kar ke!“No angel, no god is going against my wishes. I am going of my own free will, leaving Shri Nathji in the care of his devotees!”“JAB AAP YAHAAN SE JAAEN TO APNI KOYI CHINTAA NAA KAREN, ––LOK AUR PARLOK KI! MERI CHINTAA LEKE JAAEN!“When you go from here, have no worry about yourselves, either of this world or the world to come! Go with a worry for me!”“Dekhaa kaisaa drishya thhaa, – maine bhee nritya kiyaa! Devi Devta bhee aakaash se dekh rahe thhe. Saaraa vishwa jhoom rahaa thhaa!”“What a wonderful scene we saw today! I too was dancing! The devis and devtaas were watching us. The entire world was swaying with bliss!”“I have many devotees but they are all busy with their own tasks and their own homes. It is only Param Pujya Shri Priya Nathji who is serving me 24 hours of the day! He left his salary of 50,000 per month in America to be with me after the going away of Mamahateshwari. He does not accept anyone in the world as being equal to me!”“Jab apne Prabhu ke samaan doosraa aa jaaye to pardaa aa jaataa hai!“When you equate someone else with your Lord then your relationship becomes veiled!”“There are two things before you–the first is your Goal and the second is Death. How nice it would be if before Death comes, you offer yourselves to God, instead!”
