Shri Nathji dictates yet more memorable ghazals to Priya Nath, and listens to them again and again, praising them no end, as they are sung and played:“Jo raaze dil meraa hai mujh se samjhaayaa naheen jaata,“I cannot narrate the secret of my Heart,The other ghazal began with the meaningful words:“Saaki ne aaj baante paimaanaye muhabbat”“The Saaki has distributed today the cups of wineShri Nathji is so thrilled at listening to these ghazals that he says:“Log naachenge sunkar!”“People who listen to them will dance with joy!”Shri Nathji listened to the ghazals till late in the night, sitting up in bed and clapping his soft and delicate hands in rhythm.“Ye haathh unkaa barrhaa huaa hai jo gham ke maare hain iss jahaan men“His hand is outstretched towards all in sorrow in this world,Shri Nathji compliments Priya Nath’s harmonium accompaniment, saying:“Iss par aavaaz khul jaati hai!“The voice really pours forth with it!”Shri Nathji was a Master Musician and knew, with the ear of a professional, which musical instruments were best for a particular voice. The only voice which he had consistently heard over the years was that of Priya Nath and therefore he had become a connoisseur of the music that Priya Nath played.
