They decide to have lunch at Embassy Restaurant in Connaught Place. This was the restaurant Shri Nathji and Mahamateshwari and Pran Nath and Priya Nath had frequented in the past in the 1950’s where the proprietor and all the waiters had known them and given them royal respect. “Tum-saa jahaan men koyi ab doosraa kahaan hai“How canst there be another like Thee in the world? As also his ghazal of 1981 written about Himself:“Ye takallum, ye muhabbat, ye teri dariyaa dilee“Thy Words, thy Love, Thy great Benevolence,Shri Nathji enjoys these outings and says:“We should have gone out more frequently, in the past – the change is good for the health and mind. Change of occupation is rest of mind. “Change “A change is always for the good. All the time we remain locked inside our rooms.”Priya Nath has his misgivings about these outings. Firstly, because he is afraid of Shri Nathji’s heart condition, and, secondly, because the air outside is so heavily polluted with car fumes. It is this, which Priya Nath believes, may be contributing to Shri Nathji’s increasing cough.
