Shri Nathji gave to the world the picture of a loving, benevolent God who was like a mother, and, in fact, even more loving and more forgiving than a mother.“If a mother is dressed in a silk saree and is on her way to a party, and she sees her child fall into a pond of mud–will she forsake the child? No. She will rush to him and bring the child to herself, not caring a bit for her silken saree. She will clasp the child along with his mud and dry his tears. And if a mother can do this for her child, why cannot God forgive his erring children upon earth?Even Shri Nathji’s apparent ‘anger’ at evil doers was part of his play, his act, his ‘leela’ upon earth. As he would frequently say about Divine Wrath:“Gussaa teraa davaa hai, raihmat teri ghizaa hai,“Thy anger is our medicine, and Thy Mercy our nourishment,Shri Nathji’s voice would call out:“JIS TARAH BHEE HO, JAISE BHEE HO –BAS AA JAAO!”“NO MATTER WHAT STATE YOU ARE IN–JUST COME TO ME!”
