Shri Nathji had often said:“Sufferings come upon Divine Souls so that they may reveal to the world how sorrow can be converted to joy – which is the main purpose of the existence of man upon earth. Yet, because they come in the human flesh, they have to endure the pain. Even Lord Christ had to say at one point: ‘O my Father! If it be possible let this cup pass away from me!’“In the end, however, he said: “‘Thy Will be done’– and became One with his Father – God.“‘Lord Rama endured the torments of human existence – the abduction of Sita Maharani, his shocked state in which he cried out even to the leaves asking where Sita was:“‘Seete, Seete, kaihte patton ko poochhte phire.“‘Lord Krishna was beset upon by enemies right from the start who wished to destroy Him. About Himself, Shri Nathji had said:“Sorrow and suffering can come only to my body – which is not made of stone! I can throw aside these ailments in a moment – but it will be a sin for me to use my Powers for my own self. “Yahaan aakar to murde bhee zindaa ho jaate hain.“Even the dead are given a new life here! “To kyaa main apne aap ko khud naheen ttheek kar saktaa? “Can I not, therefore, cure myself? “But no! I must endure the agonies of the flesh so that I may understand the sorrows of mankind and remove them.”
