At 2:10 am Shri Nathji feels very cold from the ceiling fan above His bed, which is going at the fastest possible speed, even though the switch had been adjusted to the lowest speed. “Asuri bal haath dho ke peechhe parraa hai! Ham kyaa kar sakte hain?“The Powers of Evil are after us hand and foot. What can we do now?”Shri Nathji laughs for a moment, and then suggests putting the Air conditioner on while shutting off the fan altogether. Priya Nath does that, and some normalcy is restored to the room. It is always Shri Nathji who gives the proper guidance at moments of crisis.“God Bless you, Piyaji!”Priya Nath cannot reconcile himself to the use of the word “God” when it comes from Shri Nathji. It is almost as if Shri Nathji is saying that there is some “other God” who is blessing him. Priya Nath all at once forgets himself and blasphemes against God in his agitation:“If God has blessed me, then why is He allowing these repeated illnesses?”But he knows the answer too well himself. It is part of Shri Nathji’s ‘“O Lord! Please save us from evil! Please do not crucify the 90 year old body of Pitaji. O Lord, kill me if Thou willst, but do not let illness or suffering come to Pitaji!”It is 2:20 am. Shri Nathji covers Himself in His blanket and tells Priya Nath to save himself from the cold of the air conditoner.“Priya Nath had telephoned Dr. (Col) P.K. Khanna to come on Tuesday morning to check up Shri Nathji. Priya Nath had not wanted to take any chances, and wished to get all the medical opinions that he could. “Vo kyaa kahaavat thheeShri Nathji had also frequently said:“Piyaji, vaise to doctoron kaa zyaada ghar men aanaa ashubh maanaa gayaa hai!“Piyaji, the coming of too many doctors to the house is considered inauspicious.”
