O Lord, a countless thanks to THEE for keeping Pitaji well throughout the night. It’s 10:29 am Tuesday morning. Pitaji is sitting up in bed, writing ghazals, and just coughed up a little sputum which was whitish.“Piyaji sab ttheek chal rahaa hai naa?“Piyaji, is everything going on well?”I’m still worried about last night – the fact that Pitiji could hardly walk 10 rounds without fatigue, with the pulse rate shooting up to 108. O Lord, a fast pulse can cause problems in Pitaji’s old age and heart trouble – especially when He has had two serious heart attacks already.“Roop milaa to seva milee. Niraakaar ki kahaan koyi sevaa kar sakegaa? Sevak kaa darjaa sab se oonchaa hotaa hai. Jisko seva milee usse swami milaa. Jisse swami milaa phir vo swami ban gayaa. Sevaa ka phal koyi kyaa maange – sevaa to khud janmon ke karmon kaa phal hai. Har ek ke kahaan sevaa naseeb men aati hai!”“You can only serve God when He is in human form. How can you serve an Invisible God? He who serves has the highest status in the eyes of God. He, who gets a chance to serve, in fact has obtained a Master, whom he can serve. And he, who obtains a Master, must later become a Master Himself. What reward can a person ask for serving God? The chance given to serve is the reward of the good fruits of several births. It is not in the fortune of everyone to get a chance to serve.”Shri Nathji was very fond of the saying:“Sevak ko sevaa ban aayi“It behooves a Servant well to serve,O Lord, Pitaji, a countless, countless thanks for remaining well despite onslaughts from the powers of evil.By, Pitaji’s miracle – Thy Miracle – O Lord, His temperature came down to 98.1 within a short while, and did not rise thereafter. I took it again at 7 pm and it was 98.4.
