Towards the last weak of August 1985, Priya Nath develops a fever–which is due to a virus raging in the city. He feels he must move out of Shri Nathji’s room lest Shri Nathji catch the virus from him. “Piyaji, aapse mujhe koyiHowever Priya Nath cannot afford to take the risk, especially with Shri Nathji’s weakened heart and the recent hurt on his arm. He dreads to think of what might happen if Shri Nathji were to catch the viral fever from him, and, despite Shri Nathji’s remonstration, shifts into the big room, leaving Sudha to minister the daily medicines to Shri Nathji.“Piyaji, sab ttheek hai?”“Piyaji, is everything all right?”On another occasion he comes out of his bedroom and walks to the door of the big room to enquire after Priya Nath. “Aapse mujhe koyi“I can never catch any infection from you!”But Priya Nath cannot afford to take any risk. He has not forgotten the horrible fever and throat infection that Shri Nathji had contracted from someone in July 1985, which had caused days of unbearable agony.
