Lord Rama

A relative of Mrs. Gangabai Bhutt, Shri Ganesh, was a Pujaari-a priest-in a temple at Kanjai village. The temple was of Sita Rama and contained life-sized idols of the deities.
Mrs. Bhutt would frequently narrate her spiritual experiences to the pujaari and tell him about Shri Nathji. He was deeply moved, but the affairs of the world weighed down on him and he never ventured out to secure the darshan of Shri Nathji, who was at Allahabad at the time.
One day he sat in the temple, worried about the marriage of his daughter, and pondering over Mrs. Bhutt’s experiences. Can it be true that God has come down to earth as an avatar? He kept asking himself.
There was a sudden knock on the door. And much to the astonishment of the pujaari, the idol of Lord Rama left its pedestal and began walking towards the door!
The door was opened by the idol of Lord Rama, and a figure resplendent with divine beauty entered the temple. The idol escorted the figure to its pedestal and bade him sit upon its throne, the Singhaasan.
And then the idol stood to one side before the living personality on the throne and folded its hands. It called out to the pujaari who had been transformed into a pillar of amazement.
Panditjee! Look! Here is He who will solve all your problems in life. He is God incarnate come down to earth. He is performing his leela on earth, performing the part He wishes to play. Very few persons can recognise him. Only the genuine devotees of God know of him. He is Shri Nathji!
Later, the pujaari arrived in Jabalpur and went straight to the house of Mrs. Bhutt. He fell down before her and began to weep. The narration of this powerful experience was much too overwhelming for him. He wanted to meet Shri Nathji immediately. Mrs. Bhutt gave him Shri Nathji’s address at Allahabad.
The pujaari took the first train to Allahabad and arrived at Shri Nathji’s residence. There he received the disconcerting news that Shri Nathji had left Allahabad three days ago. The man fell down upon the ground and began to cry.
Just then the door of Shri Nathji’s house opened and Shri Nathji appeared before him with Prasaad in his hands. The man was filled with divine happiness when he saw the figure that had entered his temple in the person of Shri Nathji. His soul found fulfilment.
The next day there was news that Shri Nathji had returned to Allahabad from Mussoorie. As Shri Nathji’s car drove up to his residence, the pujaari ran forward and came to it.
Prabhu! said the Pujaari to Shri Nathji, “What strange leela is this? You met me here only yesterday night!
Yes, said Shri Nathji, but at that time I was with you spiritually. Today, I have appeared before you in  person!
The man returned home to his village, and found to his great delight that all the impediments in his daughter’s marriage had disappeared. Indeed, the meeting with Shri Nathji was to solve all the problems of his life.
