The birthday of Shri Nathji in Mussoorie that year in June 1977 was to capture a little of the glory of the years past. Priya Nath had decided to give Shri Nathji a birthday party in western style and had booked the dining hall of Savoy Hotel for the celebration.
Mahamateshwari had celebrated June 23, 1943 and June 23,1944 at the Savoy Hotel, during the days when Shri Nathji had been recovering from his arm operation. Priya Nath had wished to commemorate those earlier birthdays celebrated at the Savoy.
