Amongst the tragic events that occurred at the Dehra Dun house was the sudden falling of the child, Pran Nath, into a pond of water at the house. It was only the quick action of Veeran Devi, the elder sister of Mateshwari, that saved the child. A doctor was called to resuscitate him. If Veeran Devi had not spotted him drowning in the water anything may have happened. Mateshwari was greatly perturbed at this happening and wished to leave the place as soon as she could. Numerous fears plagued her mind that the lives of her children were in danger.
