It was in April 1942 that the English translation of Shri Nathji’s famous Urdu and Persian book, Payaame Muhabbat was published for the first time at Allahabad.
The book was named: A Message of Love. All the copies of the book disappeared from the bookshops within a few days as the hungry public got hold of them.
Shri Nathji was left with only a few copies of the book from the publisher which he gave to some of his selected devotees or retained himself.
The English translation had been carried out by a professor of Urdu and Persian at Lucknow, who, unfortunately was not an expert in the English language.
Although Shri Nathji was never fully satisfied with the translation, yet the book was an outstanding revelation even in this language. R.R. Khanna often thought of sending it for the Nobel Prize.
