As Shri Nathji and Priya Nath and Mangla watch the ‘Mahabharata’ on Television, there is the scene depicting Lord Krishna revealing his Vishwa Roop – Divine Form – to the hostile Kauravas.“This is how Pitaji should reveal Himself to all evil doers!”Priya Nath had again been piqued at the problems that plagued them and had talked about old folks’ homes in America where elderly folk lived in peace. He realizes soon enough what an unkind thing it was to say to Shri Nathji who loved him more than anyone else in the whole world. Later, he weeps over his impertinence and records in his diary:“Good, sweet, loving Pitiji – how I dearly love my sweet Pitiji, I am living only for his sake and have no other purpose in life. It breaks my heart to ‘quarrel’ with Him and to ‘bully’ him into accepting my wishes, especially the diuretics. He is 87 years old, I keep forgetting. I must love and protect him and not worry him about the problems that plague us. All the unpleasant news from the outside world is conveyed by me to him – otherwise He would never come to know about them, and write his ghazals in peace. I am the cause of all his troubles and ill-health. O God, please forgive me for quarrelling with my dear, beloved sweet, Pitiji – the one and only Pitiji in the whole world – who I love with all my heart and soul.”
