There is also a new group of devotees that had arrived at Sapru Hall–the Kapahi Family. These devotees had known Shri Nathji since the days at Lahore but had been separated from Shri Nathji due to Shri Nathji’s inconspicuous style of living so that no one really knew where he was. The eldest amongst the group was Shri Charan Das Kapahi–who had been a long standing devotee of Shri Nathji at Lahore and who had made the bhajan a legend:“Charro jin ne par langanaa saade Nathji ne jahaaz banaayaa!” “Climb all who will, our Nathji has made a Ship!”There was Rajinder Pal Kapahi, his nephew who had prostrated before Shri Nathji and then before Priya Nath at Sapru House saying:“Today I am seeing the fulfillment of Shri Babaji’s mission!”These people had been living in Delhi for years, in close vicinity to Shri Nathji but were not even aware of Shri Nathji’s presence there. It was only through the newspaper advertisement that they could find him again. It was one of the greatest moments of happiness in their lives. Kapahi wept with emotion as he came before Shri Nathji. It was as if the time had come for these devotees to come to their goal again, from which they had been separated over the years.“Paas kharro nazaron men na aave aiso Nath hamaaro re”“Standing close to Thee, he may remain hidden from thee, such, indeed, is our Nath!”That was how Shri Nathji sometimes “concealed” himself from his devotees. In this concealment lay a waiting period. In this waiting lay the nurturing of the seed of devotion and the final joy of re-union.
