Shri Nathji and Priya Nath watch the Christmas celebration in the West on the Television–the Pope blessing the people, reading out a message, performing various ceremonies.
Priya Nath says ruefully: “ Eighty per cent of the world has turned to Christianity. They have all the power and wealth of the western countries. It seems to be impossible now that our mission can ever spread!”However Shri Nathji is undaunted and says:“Ab iss“We must make this mission flourish in whatever circumstances that surround us. We cannot wait for the next moment!”Shri Nathji had always said that the real reason for the spread of Christianity was the sacrifice that the early Christian devotees made for the sake of Christ. Priya Nath feels that no such devotee is available in Shri Nathji’s time and that is the real reason for his mission not expanding. It was the duty of the devotees to spread his mission in the world. Shri Nathji had done everything that he could, alone and unaided.“Jab Bhagwan Krishna ne Govardhan utthaayaa to gavaalon ne apne dande lagaa diye! Abhi tak bhed naheen khulaa ke Govardhan ungli se utthaa yaa gavaalon ke dandon se!“When Lord Krishna raised Mount Govardhan with his finger, the cowherds placed their sticks beneath the mountain. One cannot say whether it was his finger or the cowherds’ sticks that raised the mountain!”Shri Nathji had also said to the devotees:“Saare vishwa kaa bhaar mere kandhon par, aur meraa bhaar Priya Nathji ke kandhon par. Ab aap sab ne milkar Priya Nathji kaa saathh denaa hai!“The burden of the entire world is on my shoulders. Priya Nathji has taken my burden upon his shoulders. Now all of you must stand by his side!”However the devotees were so engrossed in the small spheres of their own lives that they found little or no time for Shri Nathji’s grand mission, and failed every time that sacrifices were called for–even the most minimal.
