Two ladies arrive from Naini Tal. They are Mrs. Lajja Pant and her sister. Mrs. Lajja Pant brings two white, half-sleeved, hand knitted sweaters – one for Shri Nathji and one for Priya Nath. Shri Nathji blesses her and speaks to her for a long time, recalling how Abba Rani, the daughter of Rajmata Kasmanda, had knitted a sweater for him in 1938, and how he had telegraphically asked that the sweater be sent to Dehra Dun– where the weather was hot! “Prabhuji! Either put the fan on, or remove the sweater!”Later, after the Pant sisters have left, Shri Nathji asks Priya Nath to put his new sweater on, while Shri Nathji dons the one meant for him.
