The association with Khanna was to last over a period of twenty years, during which time his faith became only stronger and stronger in Shri Nathji. It was a faith that surprised the world of materialism.
Khanna acquiesced to Shri Nathji’s new residence at Mussoorie and would visit him there for the time that he was at Mussoorie, and later invite him to Lucknow.
It was a familiar sight to see Khanna at Kahkashan Cottage below the Savoy Hotel, serving Shri Nathji in any way he could, and deriving the bliss of his darshan and blessings. Khanna’s chief concern at all times remained the health and well-being of Shri Nathji. He had at one time written a letter to Shri Nathji in which he had said:
“I do not sleep many nights worrying about the delicate body that you have taken upon earth, which must be preserved at all costs.”
