Mrs. Vig had a younger brother, Ved Prakash, who was studying engineering. Mrs. Vig had often told him about Shri Nathji, but he was neither interested, nor did he come for Shri Nathji’s darshan at any time. Although the attitude of her brother saddened her greatly, yet there was nothing that she could do about it. He was a fully-grown young man and she could not force him to accompany her to Shri Nathji’s darbaar.
Ved Prakash sat for his final examination in the engineering college and spoiled the papers. He knew he was going to fail. He became acutely distressed and narrated his fears to Mrs. Vig and Mrs. Vig said to him immediately: “You did not come to see Shri Nathji when I asked you to. Had you done so you would not have spoiled your papers in your examination. Maybe it is not too late yet. Go and fall at his feet!”
Ved Prakash came to meet Shri Nathji. The moment he came before him, something happened to him. A strange peace filled his heart and soul. He repented then of the moments he had lost in the past when he had not cared to come and see Shri Nathji.
Shri Nathji had often said:
“A devotee says to the unbeliever: ‘I forgive you for not believing in Him; it is not your fault, because you have not seen Him. Had you seen Him you too would have been as intoxicated as I am!’”
When the examination results were declared, Ved Prakash discovered that he had secured first division. This was one of the greatest miracles of his life. He had known for certain that he had spoiled his papers and that there was not even a remote chance of his passing the examination.
Thereafter, he became completely devoted to Shri Nathji. Material prosperity followed him in later years and he became a renowned engineer who settled down in Russia, and married a Russian wife. He retained his devotion to Shri Nathji till the last moments of his life.
There was a time in the 1980’s when he had been sent to India to conduct a Seminar on Engineering at Yamuna Nagar. He stopped over at New Delhi to secure the darshan and blessings of Shri Nathji. While he was with Shri Nathji, he so forgot himself that he missed his bus to Yamuna Nagar. He was acutely depressed and wondered why it had happened. He learnt later when the morning news related how the bus to Yamuna Nagar had been gunned down by terrorists. If he had been on the bus he would have lost his life. Shri Nathji had saved him.
He finally passed away in Russia several years later. His soul appeared before his elder sister, Mrs. Vig, at Allahabad and said to her:
“Sister, I am no longer in the body. I have gone to higher regions. I have come to tell you three things which I want you to tell the devotees of Shri Nathji:
“Firstly, I have now personally seen Shri Nathji as God. He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and I am at His holy Feet. No one should doubt that.
“Secondly, I am now in a place where there is absolute bliss and peace, and I never wish to come to the earth again.
“Thirdly, Shri Nathji has made many mansions here on which the names of his devotees are inscribed. When their journey of life is over, they shall find these homes waiting for them in heaven.
