God alone could disseminate Godly knowledge.
To illustrate this, Shri Nathji gave the following example:
“The water of the ocean is salty. Drink it in a cup or glass, or any vessel of any shape or any material–it will remain salty.
“But when the same water is evaporated by the rays of the sun, and comes down as rain, it loses its saltiness and tastes pure!
“Similarly, the knowledge of God cannot come to man in its fulness through Books or Philosophy or Intellectual Reasoning–all of which are like the multi-shaped vessels that cannot alter the salty taste of the ocean water. Godly knowledge can come from God alone, or through men of God.”
