As always, Shri Nathji was very humble.
He was standing in the balcony of a double-storied house. A group of men passed beneath and offered their salutations.
You are very great, Nathji, they said, you are so high above us, up there!
Shri Nathji replied: I might be standing here, on a higher level than you – but you are greater than me, because your eyes are turned upwards, whilst mine are turned downwards!
“Aap neeche hain magar aapki nazaren oonchi hain. Main oonchaa hoon magar meri nazaren neechee hain!”
