Shri Nathji had a great love for agnostics and atheists. His impact upon them was astonishing. As a Catholic Friar, Father Malachy, was to say, years later, in London: He has the spiritual power of breaking up atheists.
Shri Nathji used to define atheism as follows:
There is a child born to a mother. The child is so small that he does not recognise his mother. But the mother loves him all the same, and waits for the time when the child will grow up and call her ‘mother’! This is God’s relation with man. Even if a man does not recognise God, God does not forsake him, but rather waits for the time when man will evolve sufficiently to be able to recognise Him.
