During the time that Shri Nathji was at the house of Istafa Khan, word had spread amongst the Muslim clergy and intellectuals of the city that Istafa Khan had become very devoted to Shri Nathji.
Many Muslim friends of Istafa Khan were vexed with him for his devotion to someone they considered to be a Hindu.
They came to his house in a group and demanded that they see Shri Nathji and listen to his words. When Shri Nathji came before them, their eyes looked hatred at him.
Two hours later, after Shri Nathji had finished speaking to them, they were all changed men. Hatred had given way to love. Many had tears in their eyes.
Istafa, they said, Shri Nathji belongs not only to you, he belongs to us as well!
The same faith and devotion that had taken hold of Istafa Khan took hold of his Muslim friends, and they all began to love and respect Shri Nathji.
