Shri Nathji’s programmes were always made at the calling of thirsty souls. He was ready to go to Nagpur. But the forces of evil were at work. They could not suffer the Divine Light spreading itself. Obstacles came in the way.
While preparations were afoot at Nagpur to welcome Shri Nathji, Shri Narsikar, who was a member of the welcoming committee, had a disagreement with the other members. He felt that the arrangements made for Shri Nathji were inadequate and insincere, and that Shri Nathji would be put to a great deal of trouble if he came.
Acting upon a sudden impulse, he sent a telegram to Shri Nathji: Postpone Programme Letter Follows. Shri Nathji listened to his close devotee and postponed his programme to go to Nagpur.
The train which was to have brought Shri Nathji to Nagpur, arrived in Nagpur Station without him. Hundreds and thousands of people who swarmed the Railway Station with garlands and flowers in their hands were severely disappointed. Many a person, who had trudged a long distance from a far away town or village, began to weep. Leading luminaries of the city, including the Mayor, who had come to welcome Shri Nathji at the Railway Station, turned back.
It was a disaster for the members of the welcoming committee which had announced Shri Nathji’s visit to the city in the newspapers and made all the arrangements for his welcome.
