As the days wore on, Shri Nathji gradually recovered from the viral fever and began meeting people with the same degree of energy as before, uncaring for his health at his age of 76.
On February 22, 1978, Shri Nathji celebrated the birthday of Pran Nath for the first time in Maharashtra in a stunning function at Suyog Mangal Karyalaya.
It was also on February 22, 1978, that Shri Nathji sent out his blessings to the people of Maharashtra through the newspapers. It cost Priya Nath a lot of money to have the announcement inserted in the Nagpur Times–at a time when he sorely required the amount for other purposes.
Said Shri Nathji laughingly:
Log to paise lekar aashirvaad dete hain, aur ham paise dekar aashirvaad de rahe hain!
People give their blessings after being paid for them, but I am giving my blessings by paying for them.”
The newspaper carried a large photograph of Shri Nathji beneath which were the words:
Blessings to the People of Maharashtra
from
His Holiness
Shri Bhola Nathji Bhagwan
And the words beneath the photo went as follows:
H. H. Shri Bhola Nathji Bhagwan is a great spiritual luminary of our time whose speeches and writings have brought home Peace of Mind to many. Well-known for the majesty and beauty of his words, he renders even the most profound of Spiritual Truths simple and beautiful to a poetic degree.
“People who have come into contact with him have experienced the nearness of the Divine. His message of Universal Love has endeared him to people of all religious faiths. Many refer to him as Nishkalank Premavatar. He chooses, in all humility, to refer to himself as: Nath, Ghulam Rue Zameen i.e. The Servant of The Earth.
“The devotion and spiritual tradition of the people of Maharashtra has drawn him to these regions for the third time, from his Himalayan abode in Mussoorie, U.P.”
