Shri Nathji often said to his devotees:
“There can be no two ways in faith. You have to have absolute faith in Him. Either believe in him completely or do not believe in him at all. It is this middle path of faltering, of believing and disbelieving at the same time, which is the cause of suffering.
“Either say, ‘Bhalaaji – Thou art right!’ or else say, ‘Bhoolaaji – I have erred!’ But never question His Will.
“In these two words lies the supreme injunction of faith: ‘Thy Will be Done!’”
Shri Nathji often put this in other words in his Urdu Verse:
Ai muddaayiye vaihdat ye maaoman kahaan ki
Yaa to kaih de main hee main hoon, yaa to kaih de too hee too hai
O thou seeker after Truth why this faltering of thy mind?
Either say, ‘It is me and only me’, or say, ‘It is Thee and only Thee!’
