Shri Nathji had once revealed to Priya Nath in a light moment:
“When Shri Babaji Maharaj passed away, for some reason I had this great urge to laugh and could scarcely contain myself!”
This was so because Shri Babaji Maharaj had, in truth, not passed away, and whatever was happening before the eyes of men was a mere illusion–a Maayaa. Only God could laugh at his own Maayaa.
Shri Nathji had once confounded intellectuals by saying:

“This life is a dream and I can prove it.
“What is a dream? That which exists only in one’s mind but has no reality of its own.
“What is the past? It is a dream because it exists only in your mind.
“What is the future? It is also a dream because it exists only in your mind.
“And what is the present? The present is that moment of time in which the future is turning into the past.
“Therefore, the present is made up of the future and the past. If the future is a dream and the past is a dream, then the present must also be a dream. Two dreams cannot give place to reality. Two zeroes must add together to give another zero!”

The Colonel’s faith in Shri Nathji continued to grow day by day as he witnessed numerous miracles in his life. The greatest miracle was the calm and happiness that had entered into his life ever since Shri Nathji had come to his home. There were even moments when the Colonel would join hands with his servants in pushing Shri Nathji’s Ford car whenever it was stalled in his house. Shri Nathji never forgot these gestures of service and humility.
The Colonel’s wife, who had been visiting her in-laws, also arrived in the house. Although she, too, acquired great respect for Shri Nathji, her soul was not flooded with the light that Shri Nathji had given the Colonel. After a while, Shri Nathji sensed that his presence in the house as a guest was perhaps not entirely welcome to the Colonel’s wife. However, his work there was complete . He had given whatever he had to give to the Colonel.
It was for the sake of the Colonel that the rooms at Wheler Club had not been available as part of Shri Nathji’s leela. Now that the Colonel’s part in the leela was over, a new chapter was opened by Shri Nathji. Suddenly the rooms became available at the Wheler Club.
Shri Nathji bade adieu to a tearful Colonel and shifted to his new quarters at Wheler Club. The Colonel’s wife was touched to the heart even as Shri Nathji left their home. In the days that followed, she would visit Shri Nathji along with the Colonel for Shri Nathji’s darshan and blessings at the Wheler Club. She would prepare various kinds of dishes for Shri Nathji and Mateshwari and would bring them with great devotion to their rooms at the Wheler Club.
