It was while Shri Nathji was at Allahabad at the Palace in 1960 that his monumental and historical work “Daivi Kirne”-Rays Divine-was printed.
Shri Nathji had worked on it in impossible conditions in the kitchen-cum verandah of Royal Hotel where he had read the proofs so meticulously that not even a full stop or comma was out of place and all the dots in the language were where they should have been. It was the only book printed in Hindi, which had been entirely proof read by Shri Nathji. The book was beautiful for its sheer literary merit and poetic touch, which only Shri Nathji was capable of. It contained 365 thoughts –one for each day of the year.
The book was to be a source of comfort and happiness to many a person in life, to release mankind from its sorrows and sufferings, and to act as a constant companion each and every day of the year.
It was a book, which could change the entire world if each and every person were to read it every day of his life.
Alas, there were financial constraints and Shri Nathji could not pay the entire bill for the one thousand books printed. He was able to purchase only two hundred books from the press. For years afterwards, the rest of the books lay in the press until the paper was eaten away and destroyed, and the books were lost to humanity forever.
It was a matter of great shame for those devotees of Shri Nathji who wallowed in wealth and luxury, that they could not even offer their services for the purchase of the remaining books lying in the press.
Shri Nathji, as always, with his large-hearted generosity, gave away all the 200 books to deserving souls and those in sorrow and suffering.
Shri Nathji always went to tremendous trouble and expense to print his books only so that he may give them away free of cost to deserving souls. “A Message of Love” and “Atma Vijaya Part I” were printed by publishers who never gave any account of the manner in which they sold the books and Shri Nathji never asked them.
