In later years, one day in 1968, the entire Standard Skating Rink building burnt down. Nothing was left of Shri Roop Kishore’s gallery.
When the rubble was cleared, Shri Nathji’s wooden portrait was found – without so much as a spark of fire having touched it. Roop Kishore had thereafter presented the portrait to Shri Nathji, narrating the miracle, and Shri Nathji had said to him:
“How could the fire have touched it when your good wishes were with me?”
Shri Nathji had brought the wooden portrait down to Delhi in 1970. Mrs. Gangabai Bhutt was in Delhi for the darshan of Shri Nathji during those days.
