And it was thus that Shri Nathji arrived at the house of Sardar Harbhajan Singh Chopra at 6, Auckland Road, an address that had been immortalised by Shri Nathji.
He and Mateshwari were in one rickshaw, while Pran Nath and Priya Nath were in the rickshaw that followed, and there was a third rickshaw behind, carrying their baggage and the servant, Jodh Singh.
Mr.Chopra and his family could hardly believe their good fortune. It was as if God Himself had appeared, all of a sudden, from the heavens. The amount of happiness Shri Nathji gave to people by his surprise visits was a million times greater than any that he could have given them through a planned visit. But in a deeper sense, these visits were also planned visits–they had a divine plan behind them, which was not discernible to human intelligence.
The entire house of Sardar Harbhajan Singh Chopra was full of portraits of Shri Nathji – in the most divine and beautiful of poses.
Very soon, as the news of Shri Nathji’s arrival began to spread, there was a stream of anxious devotees at the house.
The Chopra family itself began to serve Shri Nathji day and night, sending their servants into their quarters.
Shri Nathji’s presence in the house made the house come alive with a feeling of bliss, a divine fragrance seemed to enter into the trees and shrubs that surrounded the house; and the drawing room, which had hitherto witnessed the gathering of the people of the world, began witnessing a gathering of the lovers of God.
The greatest amongst these were Mr. Chopra and his wife and their children. A new life appeared to have come into their daughters as they saw Shri Nathji again. He had entered into their hearts and souls and become a part of them. He was the only God they had known in their lives.
