The wife of S.P.Kapila of Allahabad passes away. Priya Nath recollects how she had almost died of cancer in 1967 itself when S.P.Kapila had sent a telegram to Shri Nathji in London, praying for her recovery–and how she had been miraculously saved. However, Shri Nathji had to pay a heavy price– he lost Mahamateshwari in London in 1967.“I must maintain the laws of Life, Death and Karma, which I have created so that the balance is not destroyed. Mahamateshwari sacrificed her life in return.”Priya Nath often wondered why Mahamateshwari had to go for the sake of a woman who was at best a stranger. Kapila had later betrayed Shri Nathji at Mussoorie in 1975 and disappeared from the scene after feeding him ‘baingans’ in which kerosene oil had been inadvertently put.
