Shri Nathji spoke for those who had sinned and come before God with penitence:
Daavaa karenge ham teri maishar ke roobroo
Hamne gunaah kiye hain teri raihmat ke zor par!
We shall come before Thee and state with assertion
That we have sinned on the strength of Thy Mercy!
There would be Shri Nathji’s assurance of forgiveness to those who had sinned as he would frequently say in this verse:
Phir uske shaane kareemi ke hausale dekhe,
Gunahgaar ye kaihde ke gunahgaar hoon main
Observe then the Benevolence of His Grace
Let the sinner but say ‘I have sinned’!
