Shri Nathji was back at his beloved Savitri Nivas in April 1961, and continued to stay there till July 1961. Once again he celebrated June 23, at Savitri Nivas and showered his blessings and grace upon the mountains of Mussoorie and from there upon the entire world in waiting below. Mussoorie was beckoning to him to return to it again. However Shri Nathji had to spend one more year at Allahabad. After that the will of sincere seekers after truth would carry him whither they willed.
Savitri Nivas was becoming more and more neglected because of the long absences of Shri Nathji. The house would be full of dust each time that Shri Nathji returned and there would be patches and spots where the water had leaked from the ceiling. The whitewash on the walls had faded and there were cracks in the plaster at many places.
Shri Nathji was finding it more and more difficult to climb up the slope to the house from the Mall Road.
Mateshwari had often warned him about the approach of old age and the difficulties it would pose in living at Mussoorie. Mateshwari herself could scarcely climb the slope now. She would become out of breath and would cough for a long time every time she walked up the slope.
As a consequence Shri Nathji began engaging the hand-pulled rickshaws which would take him and Mateshwari up the slope to the house. But hand-pulled rickshaws were not always available. Living at Savitri Nivas was going to pose a problem for Shri Nathji and Mateshwari in the years to come.
