1934 was the last year of Shri Babaji Maharaj’s stay at Amritsar, a stay which had spanned over twenty years since 1914.
As the year 1935 came upon them, Shri Nathji took Shri Babaji Maharaj to Lahore with him. With the going of Shri Babaji Maharaj and Shri Nathji to Lahore their chapter at Amritsar finally came to an end.
They left behind weeping multitudes who could not bear the thought of separation from these two Divine Beings who exuded so much of Divine Love. But Shri Nathji’s mission was to continue at Lahore where greater events were awaiting him. Events so took a turn in the personal lives of most of the devotees of Shri Nathji at Amritsar that they found themselves living at Lahore after Shri Nathji had shifted to that city.
Shri Nathji’s fame in Lahore became legend soon thereafter, and he came to be widely known as “Shri Nathji of Lahore.
During the years from 1929 to 1934 Shri Nathji had been travelling from Amritsar to Mussoorie and back via Lucknow. However, from 1935 onwards he was seen travelling back and forth between Mussoorie and Lahore, stopping over en route at Lucknow. It was thus that Mussoorie, Lucknow and Lahore became very special cities in the life of Shri Nathji.
