During satsang time whenever any devotee sang, Shri Nathji would sit in his chair with his eyes closed. It was not a meditation upon God, because he was God Himself.
Shri Nathji would meditate upon the people of the world. He would be reaching out in His Invisible Form to the hearts and souls of all who were praying to him.
When Shri Nathji meditated with his eyes closed, he was, in fact not absorbed in Himself, but listening to the prayers of millions of people in the world.
Indeed, the meditation of God had to be different from the meditation of man.
