A labourer from Bihar arrives for Shri Nathji’s darshan. Shri Nathji meets him in the big room. The poor man breaks out into tears as he says to Shri Nathji.“Hamen apaar vishvaas hai aap men! Hamaaraa aap ke sivaaye aur koyi naheen duniyaan men!“We have intense faith in Thee! We have no else in the world except Thee!”Shri Nathji’s verse echoes in Priya Nath’s mind:Kaheen daste savaal daraaz naheenMy hands extend towards none else but Thee,Shri Nathji embraces the poor man before he sends him away. Truly, Shri Nathji is “Bandaa gareeb navaaz”–the benefactor of the poor. “Main sooraj ki taraf haathh uthhaakar kaihtaa hoon ke aap hee Bhagwan hain! Koyi doosra gareebon ko itnaa pyaar naheen kartaa!“I raise my hand towards the Sun and swear that you are God. No one can love the poor as much as you do!”
